How we verify

IVF Clinic Data is compiled from public records, not from who paid to be listed.

Sources

• CDC 2022 Final ART Success Rates (cchw-gdwa) — Clinic-level live-birth rates by age group and by donor egg/embryo type from CDC's National ART Surveillance System (NASS).

We load CDC's two clinic-level datasets for the 2022 reporting year — the latest CDC has published — and include every clinic CDC lists as Open or Reorganized. Clinics CDC lists as closed or as non-reporters are left out rather than labelled.

Success rates are shown exactly as CDC reports them, for the “all diagnoses” view, by CDC's four age groups (under 35, 35–37, 38–40, over 40). Donor egg and embryo results are per transfer, all ages combined. Where CDC reports a fraction (denominators under 20) or suppresses a small count, we show CDC's fraction or asterisk rather than computing a percentage. Beside each clinic figure we show CDC's national figure for the same measure.

We do not adjust, rank or score clinics by outcomes. CDC cautions that comparing success rates across clinics may not be meaningful because clinics differ in the patients they treat and the methods they use. A clinic that accepts more patients with difficult diagnoses, or that freezes all embryos for later transfer, can show lower rates for reasons unrelated to quality.

SART membership and lab accreditation are shown only when CDC's file records them as “Yes”. A blank means the file did not record it for that clinic, not that we have found a problem.

Outcome data are two to four years behind: a 2022 cycle's live birth happens in 2022 or 2023, and CDC publishes after validating the data. Clinics change names, owners and medical directors often — confirm details with the clinic. The Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) publishes more recent data for its member clinics at sartcorsonline.com.

Within a city, clinics are ordered by the number of ART cycles they reported for 2022, then alphabetically. Featured clinics appear in a separate, labelled box and never change that order or any number.

What a badge means

Reported to CDC: the clinic reported its 2022 assisted reproductive technology (ART) cycles to CDC's National ART Surveillance System, as the Fertility Clinic Success Rate and Certification Act of 1992 requires, and appears in CDC's 2022 Final ART data. We only publish positive matches. A listing without a badge is not an accusation — most gaps are name variations between registries.

Freshness

Data was last refreshed on 2026-09-30. CDC publishes clinic data once a year, roughly three years after the cycles; we check data.cdc.gov weekly and reload when a new year appears.
